Where to Get Help With Rent and Housing in Philadelphia
Start with the Philly Tenant Hotline. Some renters have the right to a free lawyer in an eviction case. The same number gets you that.

Philly Tenant Hotline, 267-443-2500. You speak to a live housing counsellor at the Tenant Union Representative Network. They give free legal information.
They refer you on for free legal advice and someone to represent you. That includes Community Legal Services, Philadelphia Legal Assistance, and SeniorLAW Center.
They get more calls than they can answer. If nobody picks up, they try to call back within 2 to 3 business days. Call early.
Right to Counsel. Renters with a low income in some zip codes have the right to a free lawyer in an eviction case. Those zip codes are 19121, 19124, 19131, 19132, 19134, 19139, 19141, 19144, 19153, and 19154.
Call the same hotline number to use it. If you have a court date, call straight away and do not wait for anyone to contact you.
