The Idaho Attorney General says fees charged to residential tenants must be reasonable, late rent fees included. Fees, fines, assessments, interest, or other costs cannot be more than the lease says. The Attorney General says a landlord must give written notice at least 30 days before a rent increase takes effect. The same goes for a change in those costs.

Idaho Housing does not run the Housing Choice Voucher program in Ada County or the city of Pocatello. It also does not run it in Adams, Canyon, Elmore, Gem, Owyhee, Payette, Valley, and Washington counties. In those places you must apply directly through that county's housing authority.
